Hi,
I’ve come to the part that I need to gather a lot of information on the CCIE voice blueprint specifics.
This in order to pass the OEQ part of the exam …
This is what I am using to study:
Cisco Unified Connection 7x SRND.pdf (164)
Cisco Unified Contact Center Express 7x SRND (120)
Cisco Unified Communications 7x SRND.pdf (123)
I am thinking of buying the INE CCIE Voice Core Knowledge Simulation package for $99 but I first need to know how big the pool is of questions they are offering.
I also created my own set of questions that is based in the content that can be found in the SRND guides…
When I have the feeling rhat I know enough to pass the OEQ part I am going to review the Cisco Networkers (Live) 2009 CCIE Voice Techtorial PDF.
There is also a very important document from Cisco with the ports that are used for the voice applications … I am sure that I don’t need to memmorize all the ports from the document. It;s important to read trough it and I highlighted the importand ports that I REALLY should know for the OEQ training…
You can download the document here –> Cisco Unified Callmanager TCP and UDP Port Usage (247)
I hope this is enough …

As you possibly already could read from twitter or facebook I passed the CCIE Voice written exam today.
I passed this (Voice Written) exam for the first time somewhere in January 2008 during Cisco Networkers in Barcelona.
Because I had a weird year with stuff hapening in my personal life I did not had time to do the LAB exam within the 18 months
period that Cisco wants you to it after passing the written.
So I needed to do it again … and that again was today.
Initially when I parked my car before the exam I tought … “I am going to nail this exam” and I was a bit too confident.
After I started the test and gone trough the stupid bla bla enquete questions I started to notice that this test was
harder then I expected.
I did not had 100 questions as I tought but I have 104 questions … The passing score that I needed to get 720 points out of 1000. You can view my score report by clicking HERE –> CCIE Voice Written Score Report (329).
As the test continued and I was ansering all the questions … I had realized I had too much questions that I needed to “guess” for the answer.
At the end of of the test when I needed to press the “END EXAM” button I had a feeling that I did not made it.
It took an awfull long time before the result was presented and I was looking at the screen like I did not believe the score …
Anyway I had a happy feeling but I was still suprised that I scored 820 points.
This is my 6th CCIE Written exam (and the 5th one I actually passed) so it did not felt like the first one …
When I passed my first CCIE written (R&S) I tought I already was 1/2 CCIE.
But that was not true at all … and it’s not true now!
I passed the written exam for now but I can say that I haven’t got anything at all …
It’s allmost the same as:
- I have a Audi R8 (but I don’t have the keys)
- I have the fastest computer on earth (but the power is not working)
- I have the hotest woman on earth (but … I think you can fill this one out for yourself)
So this means that I have to start building the LAB and do the real training.
I already started setting up the servers needed for this exam in VMware … and I also builded a part of the lab in dynamips as you
can read in my previous blog post.
I know I can not test all the features like this but I can do at lease 85% of all the features.
For the final 15% I will rent some rackspace from proctorlabs.
Thanks for reading and catch you next time!
